1836 Scholarship - SOM
The 1836 Scholarship is intended to promote highly talented individuals who excel academically, in leadership, or in service, who have a demonstrated financial need. Qualifications include (but are not limited to) the submission of an application in the CSS Profile.
Eligibility:
Any incoming M1s admitted to SLU SOM with financial need. Must complete an application in the CSS Profile for eligibility.
Notification Dates:
First Round of Awards will be announced on January 16, 2026*+. Deadline for consideration is December 31, 2025.
Second Round of Awards will be announced on March 27, 2026+. Deadline for consideration is March 6, 2025.
*If you are not selected for the first round of awards, you will remain eligible for the second round without having to reapply
+ You will remain on the alternate list for the scholarship indefinitely. Should an initial awardee decline, the next eligible candidate will receive the scholarship
