Dr. Donald M. Suggs Scholarship

FOR THE 2025-2026 ACADEMIC YEAR
To support retention of undergraduate St Louis University students coming from from disadvantaged backgrounds as defined by the NIH (National Institutes of Health). Scholarship is not automatically renewed, but recipients may reapply annually.

  • Current SLU student in good academic standing
  • Minimum cumulative gpa of 2.5
  • Minimum earned SLU hours of 30 at time of application
  • Preference of from students from disadvantaged backgrounds as defined by the NIH (National Institutes of Health)
  • Students must have financial need
  • Recommendation from SLU faculty or staff required
  • Preference to students from greater St. Louis or metropolitan area
