John P. Fechter Scholarship

For NEW transfer students for FALL 2023 ONLY.
The scholarship is for NEW undergraduate transfer students of at least sophomore status who demonstrate a strong commitment to community service. Requirements are transfer of at least 30 credit hours to SLU.

Scholarship is available for 6 semesters or until the bachelor’s degree is achieved, whichever occurs first.

If a student receives this award they are required to complete 40 hours of community service per semester (80 hours per academic year), maintain a 2.0 cumulative gpa, and, at the end of the senior year, submit a reflection paper on the value of community service.
