Kevin Wade Memorial Scholarship

To benefit a member of the Sigma Chi Theta chapter at SLU. The scholarship was established by the family, friends and Sigma Chi brothers of Kevin Wade. It recognizes his dedication to Sigma Chi and his efforts to improve and enrich his community. Kevin Wade passed away in 2008.
Scholarship eligibility:

  • full-time undergraduate student enrolled at Saint Louis University
  • completed a minimum of 30 hours of college credit
  • overall grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • active members in good standing of the Sigma Chi Theta chapter at Saint Louis University
  • preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need

About Kevin Wade:
After moving from his hometown of Kennett, Missouri to enroll at Saint Louis University, Kevin Wade was initiated as a member of the Theta Iota chapter of Sigma Chi in 1984. He served in a variety of offices for the chapter including rush chairman and Magister before graduating from SLU’s College of Arts and Sciences in 1985. He continued to serve Sigma Chi as Chapter Advisor for Theta Iota, House Corporation President for Theta Iota, and Tau Tau House Corporation member. During his college days and after graduation, Kevin worked in the ticket office for the St. Louis Cardinals eventually becoming Vice President of ticket sales for the team from 1992-2002.
